Host a Friendraiser

Introduce us to your friends/colleagues and help expand our circle of support. Whether it's a midweek lunch and learn, chew and chat, or an after-work happy hour, we'll work together to spread the word about GFAC.

Friendraiser Packages

GFAC offers a friendraiser package to make it easier for donors to host successful fundraising events on behalf of the organization. Here are some components included in the package:

  1. Location: Host at your preferred location, one of our restaurant partners, or GFAC's current building. Hosting in our space allows donors to experience the space and understand its limitations, illustrating the need for a larger and modernized space.
  2. An invitation platform: Use GFAC digital invitations via Greenvelope to invite personal contacts via email, text message or social media; track RSVPs and send reminders
  3. Recommended caterers: Our recommended caterers can provide refreshments or meals to create a welcoming atmosphere for your guests and an opportunity to showcase local Black owned businesses and provide exposure for their services.
  4. Event planners: We help with the logistics and coordination of the event, including set up, and day-of coordination. We can also provide creative ideas for decorations and branding to align with GFAC's mission and branding.This can help to make the fundraising event more professional, organized, and attractive to attendees.
  5. Donation platform: Our dedicated donation platform is easy to access with a QR code, or from our website.
  6. GFAC Support staff: GFAC staff will share stories of how GFAC has empowered Black girls in Central Virginia, present information about programs and services, and how the expansion and renovation of the building supports our work. This is also an opportunity for donors to ask questions and engage with GFAC staff members.
